TASIKMALAYA - As a form of concern for community empowerment in the 1st ring of the operational area, PGE Karaha Area launched Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance in the form of the Ecovillage Program. This program is the PGE Karaha Area pilot project in its efforts to help people explore their own potential, evaluate the program, and improve or increase its capacity so that it will help other communities in the future.
This was revealed by the Operations Director of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Eko Agung Bramantyo when inaugurating the Sawahlega Village as a PGE Karaha Area Development Village, some time ago.
"We hope that this pilot project can be applied to other villages in the Tasikmalaya Regency and surrounding areas. At present Sawahlega village has begun to show results through harvesting several types of vegetables. This kind of enthusiasm is what we hope to emerge from residents in five other villages around our area of ??operation. As a company, we are ready to support the village's potential. The most important thing is the commitment of citizens to improve their standard of living. Because, the entire program will not succeed if there is no strong will from all of its citizens and support from the relevant agencies, "said Agung.
While the Area Manager Karaha Mawardi Agani said, throughout 2018 PGE Karaha Area had disbursed more than Rp. 900 million through the five pillars of the CSR program, namely. in the fields of education, health, community empowerment, infrastructure and the environment.
