Disaster Handling Simulation at the Pertamina Geothermal Energy Lahendong Area

Tomohon - With the aim of increasing the awareness of workers and stakeholders around the area of ??operational safety, Lahendong Pertamina Geothermal Energy Area (PGE LHD) carried out an emergency handling simulation, on (08/21/2018).

This emergency scenario is in the form of handling earthquakes and fires that cause damage to company assets and community assets. In this activity, PGE LHD involved the Police, the Fire Department and the Civil Service Police Unit of Tomohon City.

According to PGE Area LHD General Manager Salvius Patangke, the involvement of external parties in the simulation of emergency handling is in addition to increasing the ability of Pertamina's workers, but also sharing information with other stakeholders in handling emergencies, so that synergies can be realized for appropriate and prompt handling. Tomohon Selatan Police Sector Head, Iptu Alex Karundeng appreciated the activity.

"By involving the relevant security apparatus, it is hoped that readiness and ability to handle emergencies can be improved together," he said. The simulation which was attended by all PGE LHD workers management was carried out at the LHD-5 Cluster Location in Pangolombian Tomohon Village.

The scenario of handling injuries caused by earthquakes and fires and fire suppression of company and community assets can be carried out smoothly according to the planned and planned time.
