Geoflowtest Wins Three Awards at IPITEx 2026, Proving PGE's Leading Geothermal Innovation

Bangkok, Thailand, January 20, 2026 – PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO) has once again achieved international success through its Geoflowtest geothermal innovation, which won three awards at the 2026 International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation, and Technology Exposition (IPITEx) in Bangkok, Thailand, from January 5–9, 2026.

PGE's innovation, "Enhancing Real-Time Data Processing of Geothermal Well Production Tests with a Novel Invention: Geoflowtest," won a Gold Medal from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), the FIRI Award for The Best Invention from Iran, and a Special Award from the World Invention and Intellectual Property Association (WIIPA).

Geoflowtest is a portable tool capable of processing geothermal well production test data in real time, accelerating the analysis process, improving field operational efficiency, and supporting more accurate decision-making. This innovation was developed by a PGE team consisting of Tumpal Parulian Nainggolan, Awang Rahmawan Prakoso, Adhiguna Satya Nugraha, Gamal Hastriansyah Mulyono, Muhamad Bayu Saputra, Mohamad Husni Mubarak, Dhimas Wahyu Wibowo, Benedict Amandus Hananto, and Tias Umiyati.

PGE Director of Operations Ahmad Yani expressed his appreciation for the PGE innovation team's achievements at this international event.
"This achievement confirms that innovation is one of PGE's main pillars in developing Indonesia's geothermal energy sector. The innovations we develop are globally competitive, and PGE is committed to continuously encouraging research and technology development that supports the efficiency and sustainability of geothermal energy in support of the national energy transition," said Ahmad Yani.

PGE's participation in IPITEx 2026 is part of the company's commitment to building a culture of innovation while strengthening Indonesia's position as a leading player in the global green energy sector. Through Geoflowtest, PGE has made significant contributions to improving production efficiency, operational quality, and the sustainability of the geothermal industry.

IPITEx is an annual international innovation exhibition held in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2026, the event attracted 875 participants from 29 countries, including Canada, China, Croatia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Kuwait, Macao, Malaysia, Morocco, the Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, Yemen, Chinese Taipei, and Thailand, the host country.

Previously, in 2025, Geoflowtest also received several international awards, including a Gold Medal from the International Trade Fair Ideas, Inventions and New Products (IENA) in Germany and a Special Award from the Taiwan Creative Design Association (TCDA) for the Prominent Invention category.
