PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX:PGEO) Lahendong Area participated in the 2025 Tomohon International Flower Festival (TIFF), highlighting the message "Geothermal for Energy Transition & Food Security." This participation provided a momentum to educate the public about Indonesia's geothermal potential, particularly in North Sulawesi, and to support the government's agenda to accelerate the energy transition and improve public welfare.
TIFF has been an annual event held by the Tomohon City Government since 2008, showcasing the rich flora, particularly chrysanthemums, a signature commodity of Tomohon City. This event has also become an annual attraction for both domestic and international tourists. This year, TIFF took place from August 8–12, 2025, with PGE Lahendong Area participating in various activities at the Tomohon Expo and the Tournament of Flowers (TOF), a floral float carnival, the main attraction of TIFF.
At the Tomohon Expo, PGE's Lahendong Area showcased its best-practice Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, including support for food security in the surrounding community. Meanwhile, at the TOF, PGE featured the white horse mascot, a symbol of resilience, speed, and an unyielding spirit, reflecting the company's commitment to sustainably managing geothermal energy.
"We chose this white horse mascot because it symbolizes the sincerity and commitment of PGE Area Lahendong to continue being an icon of energy transition and food security. Participation in TIFF is an opportunity for us to grow closer to the community and introduce the benefits of geothermal energy," said Novi Purwono, General Manager of PGE Area Lahendong.
Steven Pahaso, PGE's flower float decorator, added that TIFF has a positive impact on the community. "Through beautiful flowers, Tomohon City greets Indonesia and the world. This event also creates many jobs and stimulates the local economy," he said.
For PGE Area Lahendong, involvement in TIFF is a tangible form of synergy with the community and local government. This participation also represents the spirit of "The Home of Geothermal Beyond Energy" and the local philosophy of "baku sayang," which prioritizes togetherness and sustainability.
