The natural tourism object of the newly developed Ulu Ogan river is named Belanting River Tubing, which is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program for community empowerment to increase the economic impact of residents adjacent to the PGE Lumut Balai working area.

Ulu Ogan Subdistrict has a lot of beautiful natural potential to be developed into a leading tourist destination from the Ogan river which has a fairly swift current to add to the tourism sector in OKU Regency, this was stated directly by Yan Kurniawan, the Head of Ulu Ogan Subdistrict while attending the handover of aid from the PGE.

Hadi Suranto as General Manager of the Lumut Balai Area said that PGE had provided support in the form of comparative study activities and training for members of the Belanting River Tubing youth group to Pangandaran natural attractions, as well as providing new equipment as a means of support for managing River Tubing natural attractions that could used in serving tourist visitors who will enjoy the River Tubing water game.

"Hopefully the assistance provided by PGE can improve the economy of the local community and increase tourists here," Hadi said

As Social Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) in the new work area has completed improving the quality of the road along the access road to the Lumut Balai Area, repairing the damaged road is expected to have a positive impact on the surrounding community with the location of the road repair being in the Pedataran village area, Ulu Ogan District, District OKU, Bedegung Village, Sugiwaras Panang Enim District & Penindaian Village, Babatan Village, Semende Darat Laut District in Muara Enim Regency.

"Hopefully this road repair program can have a positive impact on the economy of the surrounding village communities," added Hadi.

Pertamina also continues to support the government's program of development in all fields in order to create a decent living environment for all local residents.

The Lumut Balai PGE Area is located in the Lumut Balai and Margabayur Geothermal Working Areas (WKP), South Sumatra Province which has been operating commercially in 2020. The current total installed capacity is 55 MW.
