PGE's Geothermal Innovation Wins Four International Awards at IENA 2025, Strengthening Indonesia's Position in the Global Green Energy Sector

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO) has once again brought Indonesia's name to the global stage. PGE won two international awards at the 2025 International Trade Fair Ideas, Inventions and New Products (IENA) held in Nuremberg, Germany, from November 1–3, 2025.

This achievement was achieved by the PGE innovation team through two outstanding projects focused on the efficiency and quality improvement of geothermal technology. The first innovation, titled "Enhancing the Efficiency of Real-Time Geothermal Well Production Test Data Processing through the Implementation of the Portable Real-Time Production Testing Tool (Geoflowtest)," won a Gold Medal from IENA and a Special Award from the Taiwan Creative Design Association (TCDA) in the Prominent Invention category.

The Geoflowtest team successfully developed a portable tool that processes geothermal well test data in real time, accelerating analysis and improving field efficiency. The team consisted of Tumpal Parulian Nainggolan, Awang Rahmawan Prakoso, Adhiguna Satya Nugraha, Gamal Hastriansyah Mulyono, Muhamad Bayu Saputra, Andi Joko Nugroho, Mohamad Husni Mubarak, Dhimas Wahyu Wibowo, Benedict Amandus Hananto, Pudyo Hastuti, and Dika Ukhti Rahmautami Amin.

The second innovation, titled "Advancing Quality Assurance of Geothermal Laboratory Testing through the Invention of Non-Condensable Gas Reference Materials: The GOVAST 2.0 Innovation," won a Silver Medal. This innovation also received the Thailand Award for Best International Invention & Innovation from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).

The GOVAST 2.0 team developed an innovation in Non-Condensable Gas Reference Materials that improves the accuracy of geothermal laboratory testing and strengthens PGE's geothermal operations quality assurance system. This team consists of Hendra Hadriansyah, Rivanie Pahlanie, Helmi Sofari, Muhammad Iqbal Alkindi, Henny Firdaus, Teza Permana, Ragil Farhandimas Rizki, and Losendra Primamas Yonando.

Congratulations to the PGE officers; this success is not only about technology, but also about the spirit of collaboration and the culture of innovation that we continue to cultivate at PGE," said Julfi Hadi.

PGE's participation in IENA 2025 demonstrates the company's commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and strengthening Indonesia's position as a major player in the global green energy sector. Through innovations such as Geoflowtest and GOVAST 2.0, PGE is making a significant contribution to improving production efficiency, operational quality, and the transition to clean energy.

IENA (International Trade Fair Ideas, Inventions, and New Products) is an annual international exhibition on innovation and industrial engineering held in Nuremberg, Germany. This year, more than 500 innovators from various countries showcased new inventions and products with global commercial potential. This global innovation event attracted 526 participants from various countries, including Germany, Poland, China, Korea, Austria, Greece, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, Iran, and Indonesia.
