PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Wins Disaster Alert Award from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources

JAKARTA - The concern of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy ("PGE") of the Hululais Project in helping flood victims in Bengkulu in April - May, received appreciation from the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ignasius Jonan.

The award, which was signed by ESDM Minister Ignasius Jonan, was handed over by Director General of Mineral and Coal Ir Bambang Gatot Ariyono, and was received by PGE's VP Project Development Tavip Dwikoranto on Friday (05/07/2019) in Jakarta.

In his remarks the Director General of Mineral and Coal Ir. Bambang Gatot Ariyono expressed his appreciation to companies who care and are responsive in facing floods in the Bengkulu area. With the help of the companies, it greatly relieved the burden of the flood victims. "This is no longer just an obligation, but the right of disaster victims to get assistance, once again the ESDM Ministry would like to thank you for the contribution that has been given to the recipients of the award."

"I hope that in the future so that we can remain compact and solid in the face of disasters, let's pray together that natural disasters do not often occur on Indonesian soil."

PGE Hululais in the Bengkulu flood disaster also provided assistance to ease the burden of the flood victims in the form of 1 ton of food ingredients and this aid was distributed to disaster victims in 24 villages in 9 sub-districts in Lebong district.
