Rising from Covid19, Pertamina Empowers Informal Sector Groups in the Kamojang Area

Kamojang - Pertamina through its affiliation PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE) Kamojang Area inaugurated the opening of a series of Kamojang UMKM Development Programs towards E-Commerce awareness, Monday (24/08). Pertamina collaborates with BenihBaik and GambaranBrand to conduct coaching training for 30 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). MSMEs that participate in the training are in Ibun District, Bandung Regency, and Samarang District, Garut Regency, West Java. The form of training provided consists of six categories, namely Financial Recording, Social Media, Simple Management, Basic Production Concepts, Health Protocol-based Customer Service and Work Processes.

Sapto Ciptadi, General Manager of the Kamojang Area said, "During the pandemic, this will not only affect health but also impact other sectors such as the social and economic sectors. Education and training is one of the keys to long-term capacity and economic development in areas affected by COVID-19. In this program the community will receive training and innovations so that their business will continue to run smoothly and will be assisted by professionals for approximately three months. "

Pertamina's UMKM partners will get assistance and monitoring for about 3 months. In addition, UMKM partners will have the opportunity to redesign their products which will be professionally assisted by Pelita Harapan University and Bina Nusantara University.

This program is one of Pertamina's responses to Covid-19 response activities. The selected MSMEs have gone through the initial assessment stage to see the conditions during the pandemic. This program is expected to be able to encourage the rise of MSMEs around Pertamina's operational areas to face Covid19.

Pertamina continues to monitor the development of the situation in the spread of Covid19 and plays an active role in overcoming the Covid19 outbreak through social and environmental responsibility activities carried out in synergy and independently based on a circular from the Government through the Ministry of BUMN.
