PT PGE RECEIVED 13 GOLD PROPER AWARDS
In 2022, PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE) Kamojang Area again received the highest award related to environmental management and community empowerment. The 12th Gold PROPER was won by PGE Area Kamojang with a superior Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program that addresses the problems faced by local communities regarding internet access, transportation and agricultural production. The Kamojang Digital Village Program (KANG DEDI), which carries the theme Community Empowerment through Green Technology, has succeeded in improving the standard of living of the people in the Kamojang area. And PGE Ulubelu Area also won the Gold PROPER award for the first time through its flagship CSR program, Layung Respati.
PGE Received 9 Awards at the 2021 Indonesia Green Awards
PGE has carried out various creativity programs to increase the environmental awareness of the surrounding communities. The hard work paid off, that in 2021 PGE received a total of 11 awards at the 2021 Indonesia Green Awards: 7 were awarded to PT PGE Kamojang Area, 1 to PT PGE Lahendong Area, and 1 to PT PGE Ulubelu Area. The implemented programs include biodiversity development, waste management, nature conservation tourism development, pollution prevention, and technology innovation in energy saving as well as new and renewable energy utilization.
