The Kamojang area is PGE's oldest area where Pertamina's first exploration was carried out in 1974 in the area. The Kamojang area is located in the Kamojang WKP - Darajat, West Java Province, where there are 5 PLTP units that have been operating commercially since 1983. The current total installed capacity is 235 MW.
PGE Kamojang Area's commitment to the environment has received recognition from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry as the only company that has received PROPER GOLD for 11 consecutive years. PGE Kamojang Area also has a Geothermal Information Center (GIC) which is a museum center and information on geothermal activities which is widely used as a reference for the community and schools around West Java.
