PGE Receives Winner Of The On Grid Award at ASEAN Energy Awards 2023

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO) has won The Winner of the On Grid - National Grid Category at the ASEAN Energy Awards 2023.

The award was presented by the ASEAN Center for Energy (ACE) in Nusa Dua, Bali on August 25, 2023. PGE won this international award with the theme "Kamojang Unit-5 GPP Green Living Ecosystem Optimization: An Integrated Geothermal Power Plant with Eco-Social Security for Steam Resource Sustainability and Operational Stability".

"This award is a form of our company's business sustainability that applies the concept of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) in carrying out environmentally friendly clean energy power generation operations. " said Rahmad Harahap as General Manager of PGE Kamojang Area.

PLTP Unit 5 PGE Kamojang Area is a geothermal power plant owned by PGE that has been operating since 2015 with a capacity of 35 MW which supplies electricity to the islands of Java, Madura and Bali. This award was obtained as a result of integration between functions of PGE Kamojang Area by maintaining good relations with the community and participating in protecting the environment.

"This appreciation at the international level is a manifestation and commitment in accordance with PGE's vision as a World Class Geothermal Company. This award encourages us to continue developing renewable energy and optimizing geothermal potential for Indonesia," said Ahmad Yani, PGE Operations Director.

PGE develops and operates geothermal power plants that are environmentally friendly, socially responsible, and economically viable. In addition to generating electricity, the company is also committed to supporting the development of local communities and driving sustainable growth around its operating areas.
