PGE Ulubelu Area and Save the Children Strengthen Collaboration to Empower Children and Families in Tanggamus

Ulubelu, November 21, 2025 – PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO)'s Ulubelu Area continues to strengthen its contribution to sustainable development in its operational area, with a focus on family strengthening, child protection, economic empowerment, and environmental preservation. This commitment was reflected in a collaborative dialogue with Save the Children Indonesia on community empowerment approaches and the development of an education ecosystem and child protection in Tanggamus Regency, Lampung, on Friday (November 7, 2025).

PGE's Acting General Manager, Rawan Mirza, welcomed Save the Children's visit. He considered the cross-organizational dialogue an important step in strengthening the sustainability of various social programs.

"Exchanging insights with Save the Children provides an important opportunity to broaden our perspective on community development, from family issues to education to the environment. We hope that all of PGE's empowerment efforts, particularly in Ulubelu, can provide more significant and sustainable benefits," he said.

During this visit, Save the Children also presented the Collaboration for Indonesian Children's Education (KREASI) program, which is being implemented in eight districts across four provinces, including Tanggamus Regency. This program focuses on improving literacy, numeracy, and character education for elementary school (SD/MI) and kindergarten (TK/RA) students, as well as strengthening the Education Ecosystem to support holistic child development.

The Ulubelu Area PGE also introduced various social initiatives developed in collaboration with the community. One of the highlights was the Child-Friendly Foster Care (TAMASYA) Program, which focuses on improving caregiver competency, educating children on healthy parenting and food habits, monitoring child development, and providing referral services for families. This program is designed to ensure children receive a safe, healthy, and supportive growing environment.

PGE also shared various efforts to strengthen the local economy through business groups such as KUPS Margo Rukun Bestari, Kopi Beloe Klasik, and KTH Pelangi Senja. This initiative runs alongside environmental conservation efforts realized through the management of the Biodiversity Conservation Park in Pekon Ngarip, which functions as an educational space as well as a natural conservation area for the community.
