PGE Ulubelu Area Supports the Construction of the Tanggamus-West Lampung Bridge Through Production Bonuses

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) Ulubelu Area has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting regional development. By utilizing its geothermal production bonus, PGE is contributing to the construction of the Lawang Agung Bridge, which will connect Tanggamus Regency with West Lampung Regency via the Pekon Ulu Semong and Petai Kayu access roads in Ulubelu District, Lampung.

Construction of the bridge officially began on Tuesday (September 2nd), marked by a groundbreaking ceremony by Tanggamus Regent Moh. Saleh Asnawi. Also present at the inauguration were members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), representatives of the Tanggamus Regency Government, PGE Ulubelu Area management, and construction contractors.

In his remarks, the Tanggamus Regent expressed his appreciation for PGE Ulubelu Area's contribution to the development of strategic regional infrastructure.

"Today, we are holding the groundbreaking for the Lawang Agung Bridge in Pekon Ulu Semong. This development is part of a strategic regional government project that is expected to increase productivity, streamline mobility, and facilitate public access to education, health care, and trade. Hopefully, with this bridge, the welfare of the residents will further improve," said Tanggamus Regent, Moh. Saleh Asnawi.

The geothermal production bonus is a form of state revenue redistributed for the development of geothermal energy-producing areas. This fund aims to ensure that the benefits of geothermal energy can be directly felt by the surrounding community.

The Acting General Manager of PGE Ulubelu Area, Agung Galunggung, expressed his gratitude for the realization of this bridge's construction.
"Thank God, the Lawang Agung Bridge is finally under construction. We at PGE Ulubelu Area are proud to be able to contribute to the development of vital infrastructure that will provide significant benefits to the community, especially the residents of Pekon Ulu Semong and the surrounding areas. Hopefully, this bridge will facilitate accessibility, improve the community's economy, and accelerate regional development," said Agung.

The construction of the Lawang Agung Bridge is expected to be an important milestone in strengthening inter-regional connectivity in Tanggamus Regency. More than just physical infrastructure, this bridge is also a tangible symbol of the synergy between local governments, companies, and communities in driving regional progress based on sustainable energy.
